This bike uses magnets for resistance and they may wipe a computer's memory if the bike is located too close to a computer. The magnets are in a beefy plastic cover but better safe than sorry. My bike was about 4-5 feet from my computer and the weekend after purchase, the 'help' features stopped working on one of my computer's programs. It may be a coincidence, but again, better safe than sorry. My advice is to store this and a computer in separate rooms. Also, if you plan to use a laptop while riding... better check with a computer expert because your laptop's software may be affected. Great bike though...
