I have always been used to being able to move around a lot. Sitting in an office chair for hours upon end is like a small, personal hell with the knee problems I have. I got this to supplement my workouts, break up the monotony, get the blood moving and keep my knees limber. Under my desk does not really work, my knees hit the top, but I put it off to the side, grab some reports and go. This is not going to get you in shape at all but it will help with general maintenance and if you have pain, mobility problems this gentle, easy bike is perfect.

I am very satsified with this product. I have a condition that makes it difficult for me to get out and exercise, but I can't afford an expensive piece of equiptment-and don't have the room for it if I could. The InStride Cycle fits my needs perfectly! I keep it under a table beside an arm chair and I pedal for an hour every day while I watch a movie. I noticed a difference in the first week of increased stamina. I was conscerned I might have to pedal really fast to get an effective workout, but at a nice rhythm I can get my heart and breathing rates up nicely.

A lot of reviewers have mentioned that it gets hot and I would say it gets very, uncomfortably hot after just a few minutes of use. This hasn't affected it's performance at all. If I had a small child in the house I would be sure to use it away from their touch. After use I let it sit and cool off for about 30 minutes (the rest of the movie) before moving it back to it's storage spot.
I highly recommend this cycler. It's been great!

This InStride Cycle is very good and both my husband and I use it. The one thing we have trouble with is how it moves as you peddle. I have a rubberized mat under it which helps, but it still moves. However, this exerciser is good for a 90 year old. Gets the blood flowing in the legs better than just sitting. I'd recommend it, but I wish someone would have a good solution for keeping it in place

The Stamina cycle XL arrived promptly and was easy to set up. I now enjoy cycling comfortably in an arm chair while watching TV. Family members admire the device's utility and appearance. The only drawback is the tendency to slip forward on my tile floor. I solved this by tying the Stamina XL to the legs of the chair. The Stamina Xl seems to substitute nicely for a much more expensive recumbent bike.

If you just want to move your muscles then its fine. I would not recommend it for workout. The knob at the top loosens and even when I tighten it, it doesn't seem to increase the resistance of paddles. Unimpressive.

Does the job for my wife with some modifications. As designed it will not stay put on the floor. I bought a piece of capet mesh to put under the cycle to keep it from moving. Also when you increase the resistance it makes pedeling an uneven jerky type of motion. Overall it will help her until the weather gets good enough to walk outside.

This is a durable pedal exerciser. I had bought another that was mad of thinner metal tubing and the gear case melted and broke off. Amazing. It peeled off like clay. This model is much stronger.
