I bought this bike for my mom. She is overweight, somewhere above 200 lbs. The seat is wide enough to accommodate her size comfortably. She finds it simple and easy to use. We had an issue with the first bike we got. Somehow the strap came off the wheel and it made a loud noise, so we returned it for another. The new one seems to be working fine. It makes a little bit of noise, and the tension doesn't work that great, but overall it's a good bike for the price. I'd recommend it for someone just starting to exercise.
